Superfeet Worldwide, a sandal and insole manufacturer headquartered near Seattle, Washington, opened its design and manufacturing facility to help those in the American Northwest who need immediate access to 3D printers and/or production facilities to meet short-term medical needs. Superfeet is 100 percent owned by its employees and has global distribution. While “business as usual” takes a break, Superfeet and its sister company Flowbuilt Manufacturing hope to contribute to the safety of healthcare professionals and first responders by opening up capacity for their professional 3D printers and establishing a production line to manufacture life-saving medical devices. Flowbuilt claims to be the only full-service footwear manufacturing facility based in the U.S. that offers mass-customization through proprietary multi-section injection technology.
