Boating Camping Fishing (BCF), the Australian retail chain owned by Super Retail Group, recorded a sales increase of 50.9 percent in the first half of its financial year ended Dec. 26, 2020. The performance was largely driven by a 113.1 percent increase in digital sales as compared to the corresponding period last year, as consumers changed their purchasing habits during the coronavirus pandemic. BCF specializes in the retailing of boating, camping, outdoor equipment, and fishing equipment and apparel. The division reported like-for-like growth in all categories, with the strongest performances in camping, boating and apparel. Meanwhile, the segment EBIT jumped by 412.4 percent. During the six-month period, BCF opened two stores and now operates 141 outlets across Australia. BCF is one of the four divisions of Australia-based Super Retail Group, together with Supercheap Auto (SCA), Rebel and Macpac. As a group, Super Retail reported a sales increase of 23.1 percent, with online sales up by 87.3 percent.
