In a business update, Polygiene said its sales for the fourth quarter soared by 41.4 percent to a record 26.9 million Swedish kronor (€2.7m-$3.2m). The company added that British subsidiary Addmaster, which was acquired earlier in 2021, had even stronger growth, with revenues rising by as much as 69.2 percent, excluding sales to Polygiene, amounting to 1.7 million pounds sterling (€1.9m-$2.3m). As previously reported, Polygiene has just completed the acquisition of the global supplier of antibacterial additives for hard surfaces, for SEK 374 million (€36.9m-$44.8m). Revenue growth was largely due to the success of Polygiene’s ViralOff in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, as this treatment of textiles and other products can reduce viruses by 99 percent in two hours. Polygiene’s annual results will be released on Feb. 25, 2021.
