Polygiene is recovering strongly, thanks to its anti-viral technology. In a preliminary statement, the Swedish company indicates that its sales grew by 37 percent in the second quarter, keeping the gross margin at around 70 percent and generating breakeven operating results, compared with a loss of 4.2 million Swedish kronor in the same period of 2019. The management says that the April 7 launch of ViralOff® resulted in some additional sales in the context of the Covid-19 outbreak, and the effect of larger agreements signed at the end of the period will be seen in the third and fourth quarter of this year. Polygiene’s anti-microbial treatment, which is said to reduce viruses by 99 percent in two hours, was declared a few days ago by a jury as the Overall Winner of the Scandinavian Outdoor Awards. Polygiene recently announced that it is developing a new formula for ViralOff® that will provide proven lifetime anti-viral protection in garments.
