A former executive at Procter & Gamble and Red Bull, Nicolas Warchalowski, has started at the beginning of June as international sales and marketing manager at Haglöfs, the Swedish outdoor company. He succeeds Claes Broqvist, who is switching to Odlo. Warchalowski joins Haglöfs as the company continues to enjoy remarkable growth, after a sales jump of 15.7 percent to 495 million SEK (€44.8m-$63.2m) and much improved operating profits in 2008. Sales were up by 12 percent in constant currencies in the first quarter, and the second quarter showed the same trend (many more details in the regular issue of The Compass).
