A German Intersport member, the Paul brothers, is opening a specialty store in the outdoor format called Intersport Adventure. The store is located in Balingen outside Stuttgart and has a selling surface of 1,500 square meters, of which 700 are reserved for bicycles. It is the fourth store of that type after other members opened outdoor shops in Kleve close to the Dutch border, Speyer in the Palatinate and Tübingen in Württemberg. The store in Düsseldorf was eventually shut down mainly because of its unfortunate location. Another Adventure shop is planned for Spring 2009, but neither the retailer nor the place has been disclosed yet.
