ABK, a small French company specializing in bouldering apparel, has sealed two distribution deals and is discussing several others after it attended the OutDoor fair three months ago. The brand was launched near Grenoble two years ago by three climbers, Hugo Allard, Daniel Afonso and Nicolas Cecconi, and ABK Company was formally established last February. ABK is sold through about 70 stores in France with apparel that is designed for climbing, and with a quirky look. ABK’s international distribution started with Vertical Supply, a Swiss agent; and Sundance Outdoors, a Japanese distributor.
