After a lengthy legal quarrel between ABS, the specialty brand for avalanche rescue systems, and its competitor, Lawinenball (avalanche ball), the latter is no longer. An Austrian court sentenced Lawinenball to publish that its statements on the competitor were wrong. The Innsbruck-based court ruled also that Lawinenball’s founder, Herbert Fournier, had to carry the expenses for the trial. He, however, reportedly went into private receivership afterward.
