Allsport, the Austrian brand of snow and outerwear, has launched its own online shop, which is placed on the company’s website The brand has teamed up with Arendicom, a German IT firm, to develop an intelligent system that integrates Allsport’s retail customers into web sales: Arendicom provides the retailers with a list of orders which have been placed by end consumers, and the participating retailers who have the requested items on stock ship the goods to the customer within 24 hours. Arendicom takes care of sending the invoice and handling payment procedures. It supplies the retailers with the necessary software free of charge. Additionally, the IT company guarantees for items that the end customer does not pay for. For its services, Arendicom charges a single-digit fee based on the retail price. With this initiative, Allsport affirms its principle that it will do any online transactions in partnership with its retail customers. It also sees the new service as a tool to avoid price discounting.
