Black Diamond has announced that Heath Christensen and Tor Brown are returning to the company in new roles as director of sales for North America and mountain line category director, respectively. Matt Burbach will also join the company as senior retail marketing manager and Glenn Ritter has been internally promoted to vice president of global sales operations.

Christensen was most recently sport division manager at Petzl America. His past career at Black Diamond spanned from dealer sales and service representative in 2002 to director of sales operations in 2014. In his new role as director of sales for North America, he will manage all of Black Diamond's retail and sales agency partners.

Brown worked at Nike from 2010 to 2015, serving as product line manager for sports performance bags, NFL and men's running apparel divisions. Previously, he worked at Black Diamond as a ski line category manager, from 2007 to 2010. In his new role at the company, he will oversee Black Diamond's mountain category business and focus on customer-centric product strategy in the key product categories of trekking poles, lighting, packs and gloves.

Burbach, who is joining Black Diamond as senior retail marketing manager, worked at The North Face for nearly 10 years, serving as a visual merchandising coordinator and retail customer experience manager. Most recently, he worked at The North Face Asia in Shanghai as senior retail brand experience manager. In his new role at Black Diamond, he will be responsible for continuing the company's efforts to increase wholesale sell-through and developing its brand-story telling in in-store environments. He will report to Niclas Bornling, Black Diamond's vice president of marketing.

Internally, Black Diamond has promoted Ritter to vice president of global sales operations. In this role, he will oversee Black Diamond's global wholesale channel. Ritter has served for more than three years as the vice president of supply chain for Black Diamond Inc., and has been responsible for integrating POC, Gregory, and Pieps into the Black Diamond platform. Prior to that, he managed supply chain solutions and served as the general manager for Flextronics.
