In the framework of the OutDoor by Ispo show, taking place in Munich from June 30 to July 3, Buff, the Spanish headwear company, is organizing together with partners from the sporting goods industry a special jogging event in which people will also collect rubbish while they run.
Erik Ahlström, the Swedish creator of the so-called “Plogging” activity, will also attend the event, which is part of the recently introduced OutDays program, aimed primarily at local consumers. Other supporters of the event are Intersport Siebzehnrübl and Polygiene. Ahlström had introduced the sport of Plogging to the members of the outdoor industry at the European Outdoor Summit in Malmö last September.
Buff's plogging event under the “Plogga – be a Hero” slogan will be held on Monday, July 1, and will be free of charge for participants. The starting point is at the Intersport Siebzehnrübl store in Munich at 6 pm. People interested to participate need to sign up beforehand on the event's website.
The event is part of the OutDoor by Ispo show's OutDays event program. People living in and around the city of Munich are invited to this and other events.
The so-called Campervan Challenge, which will also be part of the OutDays event program, is supported by Hymer, Schöffel, Dachstein, Deuter, Starboard, Restube, Stanley, Edelrid, Red Chili and Blackroll. Eight outdoor enthusiasts will undertake a trip in a campervan through the metropolitan region of Munich from June 28 to July 1.
In order to win the challenge, they need to take photos of outdoor sports. The equipment for these sports is already in the campervans, provided by the participating sponsors.
Fjällräven, Globetrotter, Leatherman, Viking, Klean Kanteen, Adidas, Keller Sports, The North Face and Mammut will also support events for the OutDays program in various ways. For example, The North Face will organize a hike, Adidas Outdoor will organize a trail run together with Keller Sport, and Fjällräven will hold its Classic mountaineering event in the Globetrotter store in Munich.
