Cascade Designs, the marketer of the MSR, Platypus and Therm-A-Rest brands, has named Granitbiten to be its distributor in Sweden. Thomas Breding and Henrik Bolander, outdoor experts at Granitbiten, will be in charge of the account. Cascade has also announced that it has donated more than 2,000 mattresses and 6,000 reusable, BPA-free water bottles to Operation USA, a group that is helping the people affected by the recent earthquakes and tsunamis in the Philippines, Indonesia and Samoa.
