Columbia Sportswear has appointed Kathleen McNally as creative director for apparel. She worked for 11 years at Nike as a leading apparel designer and worked for other companies including J.Crew in New York. She spent the last five years as vice president of design for Lucy Activewear, helping to build up that brand, which started up in 2000, until its takeover by VF Corporation in September 2007.
