Effective Dec. 31, 2021, Europe’s leading bicycle accessories importer, Messingschlager GmbH & Co. KG, has acquired its long-standing U.S. partner Cycle Force Group, LLC. No information was given about the transaction price.

Cycle Force Group and its distribution subsidiary North America Cycles have worked with the German importer for over a decade. The Cycle Force Group team has continued to operate as before since the acquisition. U.S. industry veteran and Cycle Force Group founder Nyle Nims moves to the board to focus on the newly created position of director of sales, business development and industry relations. Kobus van der Zel is the new CEO. As an established executive and business optimizer in various international supply chains, he has extensive experience in organizational development.

With the acquisition, the company has been renamed Messingschlager USA, but will continue to operate as Cycle Force Group. The distribution subsidiary, North America Cycles, will continue to operate as a premium distribution platform for bicycle retailers. Cycle Force will coordinate logistics, quality control and procurement. In addition, Cycle Force Group continues to provide a wide range of fulfillment services to a variety of companies in the U.S. and Canada.
