Scarpa, the Italian specialist for mountain and outdoor footwear, has announced that the investment holding company Nuo has acquired a stake in the company. Under the terms of the agreement, Scarpa will sell a minority stake, while Cornaro, the family holding, will continue to hold the majority and maintain control. Following this transaction, the President of Scarpa, Sandro Parisotto, and the CEO of the company, Diego Bolzonello, will retain their positions. 

Founded in 2016, Nuo invests in Italian medium-sized enterprises that represent Italian excellence, supporting their international development to become global companies. The investment holding company is headquartered in Milan, with an operating office in the Far East and a relational footprint in the US to ensure internationalization. Nuo has invested in companies like Montura, Bending Spoons, and Ludovico Martelli (Proraso and Marvis), among others.

Scarpa produces outdoor footwear for climbing, mountaineering, ski mountaineering, trail running, trekking, hiking, telemark skiing and urban outdoors. The company was established in 1938 as Società Calzaturieri Asolani Riuniti Pedemontana Anonima (from which the acronym S.C.A.R.P.A.). Based in Asolo, near the Italian city of Treviso and in the heart of the Veneto footwear district, Scarpa also has factories in Germany, the US, China, Romania and Serbia. The company posted revenues of €154 million in 2023. It has a staff of 1,570 employees.
