Cortney McDermott has been re-elected chairwoman of the European Outdoor Group’s sustainability working group, which she has headed since 2008. She is in charge of sustainability and corporate social responsibility at The North Face in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The committee’s steering group also voted Anne Girard of Petzl to retain her job as vice chair of the body. In the meantime, Kilian Hochrein of W.L. Gore stepped down as vice chair to concentrate on his additional role with the committee’s sub-body, the standards and regulations committee, which he has already led for a while. As vice chair of the steering group, Hochrein has been replaced by Saskia Preenen of Salomon.
