Outdoor headwear brand Buff marked Earth Day 2025 with a hands-on sustainability initiative, gathering 60 employees to plant 240 fruit trees in Castell de Queralt (Bellprat), Spain – an area affected by wildfires and deforestation. The effort created the “Buff Fruit Trees Forest,” contributing to local biodiversity and carbon offsetting. “This initiative reflects Buff’s holistic approach to sustainability, uniting people through purpose and nature,” the company said in a statement. In addition to tree planting, employees cleared biomass to help reduce the risk of future fires. The event also served as a team-building activity and highlighted Buff’s broader commitment to responsible manufacturing and environmental impact reduction.
As a Certified B Corporation since 2022 and a member of 1% for the Planet, Buff donates a portion of CoolNet UV sales to environmental causes. Most of its products are manufactured in-house in Barcelona using renewable energy.
Founded in 1992 by Joan Rojas, Buff originated from the need for multifunctional protection from the elements. Today, the brand is sold in over 80 countries and remains dedicated to helping people enjoy more outdoor moments – while also protecting the natural environments that make those adventures possible.
