The Schöffel Foundation, which was established in 2011 by the late Hubert Schöffel and his son Peter and promotes social projects and nature conservation, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. The foundation is a true family project: Peter Schöffel, the managing partner of the German clothing company Schöffel Sportbekleidung, serves as the institution’s chairman, while his wife Andrea Schöffel coordinates the foundation’s projects. The two children, Johanna and Jakob Schöffel, have been supporting the foundation’s work for several years. Over the past few years, a total of more than €500,000 has gone into aid projects to enable disadvantaged people to have lasting experiences, especially in nature. Most recently, the foundation financed the planting of almost 30,000 trees in Bavarian state forests, donated 60,000 protective masks for its own region and helped to provide meals for the nursing staff of a local hospital.
