Thorsten Eder has taken over as head of marketing at German multisport retailer Bergzeit. He succeeds Sara Hallbauer, who will leave the company at her own request at the end of March. Eder will lead a 30-person marketing team divided into the five areas of acquisition & optimization, content marketing, brand marketing, CRM and cooperations. He is an e-commerce specialist who also has many years of marketing experience in the retail and multichannel business. Eder previously headed the marketing activities of e-food provider Getnow New as chief marketing officer after gaining experience in senior positions as head of marketing at Saturn Marketing and in the digital marketing division at Redblue Marketing, the company responsible for the marketing of the consumer electronics chains MediaMarkt and Saturn. In his new position at Bergzeit, Eder will report to Martin Stolzenberger, who, as managing director in a dual management team with Markus Zabel, oversees buying & merchandising, marketing, travel business and business development.
