California-based Giro Sport Design, part of Vista Outdoor since 2016, announced several changes to its brand and marketing team. Peter Nicholson has been hired as brand manager for Giro Bike. He was most recently a partner at True Communications, the company’s PR agency. During his 11-year tenure at True, he was PR account lead for outdoor brands including Giro, Canyon, Stages Cycling, TrainingPeaks, BMC, Cervélo and Castelli. After two decades in brand management and development, Eric Richter will take on the newly created position of commercialization manager for Vista Outdoor’s Bell, Blackburn and Giro brands, working with the product, marketing and sales teams to manage global marketing. Additional new hires at Giro include Merve Aslan for digital planning and forecasting, Maya Krause for digital merchandising, Jasper Lyons as digital marketing coordinator, Molly Herwehe as digital marketing specialist and Maria Esquivas as product graphic designer.
