Mountain Hardwear, a wholly owned subsidiary of Columbia Sportswear Company, has promoted Sablle Scheppmann, who has served as the brand’s national sales manager for the past three and a half years, to its new director of sales. Scheppman helped the company focus on the brand’s specialty business and structure its dealer base, helping to drive Mountain Hardwear’s U.S. wholesale growth, which is expected to exceed 63 percent year-over-year by the end of 2021.

Sablle Scheppmann

Prior to joining Mountain Hardwear in 2018, Scheppman was regional sales manager for the West at U.S. endurance sports brand Nathan Sports, where she managed key accounts such as REI and Backcountry.com, developing and leading sales initiatives. In recent years, she had expanded her involvement and education in the outdoor industry. In 2021, she served as board chair of the Future Leadership Alumni Group (FLAG), the alumni board of the Future Leadership Academy; Scheppmann is currently working with the program’s original founder – and three other women – to revive the program in 2022. She is also a graduate of the OIA Skip Yowell Future Leadership Academy and a volunteer sighted guide for the United States Association of Blind Athletes.
