Stefanie Rieder-Haas and Michael Sieber have joined the management team of German outdoor company Ortovox, effective Jan. 1. Christian Schneidermeier remains the sole managing director. Along with the personnel change, however, Ortovox is restructuring internally in order to adapt processes to the changing market conditions. The result are three new divisions. “We are making Ortovox fit for the future. This means optimizing our internal processes and creating three divisions, each of which will be managed by a member of the executive board,” Schneidermeier said. He will be responsible for the new Culture & Strategy division.
Rieder-Haas has been with Ortovox for more than eleven years and most recently served as head of CSR. While she will take her fourth maternity leave starting at the end of February, she will return to her new role in the fall of 2022 and lead the Sustainability & Quality division. Katrin Bauer, who previously shared the position of Head of CSR with Rieder-Haas, will head the four-person CSR team.
Sieber, previously head of sales, will lead the new Customer & Brand division. He has already been working for Ortovox for ten years. For him, the focus will be on internationalization. “I see it as a very exciting task to take the right steps in the right order to transfer our success of the last years in the DACH region to other markets,“ Sieber said.
Ortovox Sportartikel GmbH, headquartered in Taufkirchen near Munich, employs 120 people worldwide and is part of Schwanhäußer Industrie Holding GmbH & Co. KG (Schwan-Stabilo).
