Five Ten has appointed Wally Barker as global managing director. Barker, who joined the company two years ago, will also retain his current title of chief financial officer. Previously, he was president and chief financial officer of Quiksilver Japan.
Five Ten has also named Laura Sanders to lead the company's global marketing efforts. Within the company, Sanders had previously run global sales and later, global sport marketing. She will be assisted by Luke Hontz, who has been promoted to bike category manager, in charge of Five Ten's global marketing campaigns for bike, bike lifestyle and mountain bike. David Kassel, the newly-appointed outdoor category manager, will also report to Sanders, and will have global responsibilities for climbing, backcountry and watersports footwear.
Five Ten, which is a property of the Adidas Group since the end of 2011, has also announced a restructuring of its customer service for its growing customer base in Germany. Effective Jan. 1, 2014, the company has started to serve its customers directly from its European headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany. The partnership with the Reiner Kopf Agency as Five Ten's commercial sales agent in Germany was therefore terminated after 15 years.
