Garmin's Outdoor/Fitness Profitability Slips

Garmin's outdoor and fitness division registered a 15 percent rise in sales to $170.6 million in the fourth quarter but profitability declined as the gross margin slipped to 66.0 percent from 68.8 percent and the operating margin narrowed to 47.8 percent from 53.6 percent.
