GE Energy, General Electric’s subsidiary which owns the membrane manufacturer Event, opened a brand new manufacturing facility in Shanghai recently. The 7,000 square meters plant consists of laboratories, offices and production. Event supplies its breathable waterproof laminate to more than 70 brands worldwide, including some new customers such as CAMP, Tatonka, Northland, Trezeta as well as the private label of REI.
