Hamm Market Solutions, the German company that was formerly the licensee of Tommy Hilfiger footwear, has been picked by Peak Performance, the Swedish sports and lifestyle apparel label, as its European licensee for footwear. Hamm is in charge of design, product development and distribution throughout Europe. The sporty collection will be offered to shoe retailers and sporting goods shops, and sold through Peak Performance’s corporate and franchised stores. The Swedish brand, which belongs to the IC Companys group, has just opened its ninth single-brand store in Germany in the southern town of Ravensburg; the 10th is scheduled for this year. The Ravensburg store has a selling surface of 180 square meters and is one of currently 60 Peak Performance stores worldwide, including locations in Berlin, Munich, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Stockholm, Vancouver, Chamonix, Val d’Isère, Cortina d’Ampezzo, St. Anton and at the company’s headquarters in Åre, Sweden. Some of those 60 stores are corporate general stores, others are run by retail partners. Currently, Peak Performance has 2,000 retail customers in 20 European countries plus Canada and Japan.
