Hannah, the Czech outdoor brand, and Rock Point, the country’s second-largest outdoor retailer and wholesaler, brought their businesses together earlier this year. The structure of the joint operation remains unclear, but it was confirmed that the five Hannah stores in the Czech Republic had been run for several months by Rock Point, which has about twenty outdoor stores under its own banner around the country. Furthermore, the tie-up has led to the launch of Outdoor Concept, a wholesale company, which distributes a raft of international brands as well as Hannah, with its own structure in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia, and partners in Hungary and Romania. Last year the management of Rock Point itself was taken over by András Sárközy, the owner of Mountex, a Hungarian outdoor retailer and wholesaler.
