Harald Heim, former regional director for Central Europe and for the Germanic countries at Helly Hansen, has been named to the new position of export manager for Eastern Europe at Fenix Outdoor, owner of Fjällräven, Primus, Hanwag and Naturkompaniet. This could particularly benefit Fjällräven, which is not sold in any other east European country than Hungary. Separately, Fjällräven has not renewed its partnership with its long-time agent in France, Christian Policand, which ended last May. Sales in the French market, where Fjällräven is weakly represented, are to be supervised temporarily by Jurg Noorman, commercial director of Fjällräven for France and the Benelux countries. An update on the brand’s strategic plans is set for the next issue of The Compass.
