Implus has announced the acquisition of Trigger Point Performance. The price of the transaction was not disclosed. Trigger Point makes self-care products for athletes, including Grid foam rollers. Trigger Point Performance was founded in 2002 by Cassidy Phillips, a sport enthusiast and accomplished triathlete.
Implus said the addition of the Trigger Point brand will help its complementary accessory brands build products that can cater to new markets and demographics. This is the third acquisition that Implus has made in 2014, following those of FitDeck workout programs to its Fitness Division in Sausalito, California, and of DryGuy/MaxxDry boot dryers to the company's Outdoor Division in Seattle, Washington. By partnering with Implus, TriggerPoint plans to bolster product innovation and global brand distribution.
