In a bid to increase the sustainability of its products, Klättermusen, an eco-conscious outdoor brand, has set up a deposit system whereby customers can get money back for items they return for recycling once they are worn out. The deposit system will start in 2009 and consists of €5, €10 and €20 labels. All new products are declared fully sustainable (or recyclable), according to an internal company index, which uses 10 textile-related variables. A new series of backpacks for example is manufactured with nylon 6, or recycled fishing nets, and can be completely recycled.
