In March, Tatonka launched a project called “Open Factory.” The idea is to open Mountech, the company’s own backpack factory in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to interested consumers who would like to see for themselves whether Tatonka’s factory meets good working conditions. The company itself says that it is audited twice a year under the international social standard SA 8000.
