Julbo, which has become the leading French brand of ski goggles after the demise of Cébé, has become a partner in The North Face Ski Challenge Tour, a tournament involving nine different European countries that holds the claim to the biggest free-ski contest in Europe. Reserved for youngsters aged 17 to 20, the current tournament has been running from last Dec. 20 and will finish in the French resort of Val Thorens next March 26-29. Julbo has developed a special model for the competition that uses photochromic lenses that darken or lighten up in a matter of seconds depending on the light conditions.
