Lacrosse Footwear, the American footwear company, is moving into a new factory for the production of its Danner line of shoes in Portland, Oregon, from its current location in that city. The new facility is nearly 5,500 square meters, twice as big as the old place, and is about a 1.6 kilometers from Lacrosse’s headquarters. The five-year lease starts during the second quarter of this year, and can be extended as much as 15 years beyond that. Production will start in the third quarter, with $8 million to $9 million in related capital expenditures for the 2010 fiscal year.
