Marcus Haas, a former Swedish sailing champion, started last week as director of international sales at Silva, the Swedish company specializing in outdoor compasses and other accessories, owned by Fiskars in Finland. Based at the Silva outdoor unit in Sollentuna, near Stockholm, Haas succeeds Göran Andersson, who is retiring. The 32-year-old executive previously worked as export manager for Hästens Sängar, a Swedish bed company, focusing on the German-speaking markets.
