Nordisk, the Danish outdoor brand, has recently appointed a couple of agencies across Europe to expand both the Nordisk brand and Yeti, its German subsidiary for sleeping bags, into new markets. Christoph Declerq of the Elements company will take care of Belgium and Luxembourg.
The new agency in the U.K. is Ark Group, which also sells Katadyn, Polygiene and Optimus in the British Isles. Igosport, headed by Bartosz Chmielewski, is now in charge of Poland and Prosport for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The new agents for Norway and Switzerland are Skogn and ACE, respectively. ACE also handles Swiss sales for La Sportiva, Haglöfs and Camp.
Slovenia and Austria are covered by WP Outdoor Gear Consulting, where Wolfgang Petschacher also acts as business development manager for Nordisk and Yeti. The latter now has an additional managing director next to Erik Møller, who is managing director of both Nordisk and Yeti as well as the owner of the whole thing. The newly appointed second managing director of Yeti is Kay Steinbach, who has served as the brand’s sales and marketing manager since 2006.
On top of this, Møller has appointed Michael Hübertz as Nordisk’s new marketing manager. He comes from an advertising agency that took care of the brand’s corporate design.
