At this year's OutDoor by Ispo show in Munich, the Scandinavian Outdoor Group named Nordisk as the overall winner of the traditional SOG Awards for the spring/summer 2020 season for its Midgard 9.2-square-meter tent.

The Danish company's modular tent concept has been applied to four different tent sizes – 20 m², 5.6 m², 4.8 m² and 9.2 m² – that can be connected to each other. All the tents can be set up without a center pole. The range is priced at €700 to €2,000 at retail and is manufactured by existing production partners in Asia.

Nordisk uses Nordic mythology in marketing the Midgard modular tent concept. The inspiration for the development of the concept was taken from the Vikings' long houses and traditional churches in the Nordic countries. They started with a center construction and expanded by adding and connecting houses and buildings as the community grew.

Aside from Nordisk's victory, Hilleberg won the SOG award in the equipment category for its Anaris tent. Aclima won the SOG award in the apparel category for its sports T-shirt. The SOG sustainability award was handed to Polygiene for its Oder Crunch technology. Ecco won the SOG award in the shoe category for its Biom C Trail shoe collection.

Nordisk is one of the four new brands that joined the Scandinavian Outdoor Group last year, along with Marius Kids from Norway, Super Yellow from Finland and Mink Campers from Iceland. The SOG, which had its traditional Scandinavian Outdoor Village at OutDoor by Ispo, currently has a total of 69 members.
