OBITUARY: Michael Uhrmann. The managing director of AustriAlpin, the Austrian brand of climbing equipment, passed away on Dec. 28 at the age of 35. He crashed in the Tyrolian Alps after he had apparently lost control of his speed paraglide. Uhrmann did shortly afterward in a hospital in Innsbruck. Uhrmann, a member of Adidas' Air Team, received his speed glide license in 1999 and had about 2,000 jumps since then.
