The Arc’teryx Alpine Academy 2020 will take place for the ninth time from July 2 to July 5 in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France. The educational event, where participants can book various training courses at a reasonable price in all sports for which Arc’teryx products are available, includes a total of 77 workshops, including five spectacular new ones, such as a two-day trail run with overnight stay, an inclusive climbing course for people with physical disabilities and a two-day big wall climbing project. The complete program will be presented on March 10 and covers a wide range of activities, from mountaineering, climbing and trail running to alpine photography. The center of activities will be the “Alpine Village” in downtown Chamonix. In addition to the Academy workshops, which require registration, a free program of product tests, bouldering, film premieres, lectures by top athletes, guest speakers, product demos and workshops will be offered.
According to the brand, the demand for the Arc’teryx Alpine Academy was so overwhelming in recent years that the workshops were sold out within minutes. To give everyone a fair chance to participate in the workshops of their choice, the organizers are now introducing a new lottery system. Interested participants have to register online at chamonix.arcteryxacademy.com between March 10 - 17. Access to the registration will be confirmed on March 19. If you have received one of the highly sought-after spots on the program, you can register on the website on March 24. Arc’teryx welcomes up to 1,200 people annually in all of the Arc’teryx Academies, which have been running for 13 years. The program of the Arc’teryx Academies 2020 includes the Backcountry Academy in Jackson Hole, Wyoming (USA), the Alpine Academy in Chamonix and the Climbing Academy in Squamish, British Columbia (Canada).
