After more than a year of research and development, German bicycle supplier Rose Bikes unveiled its first dedicated “all-in” cycling apparel line. According to the company, the Rose Dropbar Cycling Fashion, marketed under the slogan “Timeless.Functional.Fashionable.”, is far more than just a spring/summer line. All five collections are designed to meet the highest functionality and design standards, the company says, offering “everything from simple to fancy and from affordable entry to high-end for road and gravel cyclists.” It is divided into two basic collections, “Core” for beginners and “Core Performance” for professionals. They form the basis for the “three capsules of different themed worlds“ called “Coast,” “Jellyfish,” and “Unpaved.” According to Corinna Pape, Rose Bikes product management apparel, the goal of this first collection was to create a foundation with which to combine the various elements of the entire line. Pape was involved in the development process from the very beginning and is very pleased with the result: “It is the first self-contained collection from Rose Bikes, where we not only looked at the design but also the fit and how to combine the different collections and capsules into one overall line. In doing so, we were able to incorporate empirical values from intensive testing.” The line will be available online and in Rose’s brick-and-mortar stores. Through a new partnership with shopping center operator ECE, the current 14 store locations are expected to grow to more than 30 by the end of next year.
