Swiss textile specialist Schoeller Textil is offering new fabrics made with wool from Nativa – part of Chargeurs, a French specialist in combed wool. Chargeurs sources merino wool from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the U.S., Argentina and Uruguay and offers full traceability of the origins via its Nativa-branded blockchain. Nativa claims to be the the first global wool brand to provide blockchain traceability in this way.

Schoeller Textil produces double-weave outdoor apparel fabrics with the Nativa wool, blending it with polyamide and elastane. The wool supplier Chargeurs is working to make traceable Nativa wool fiber an ingredient brand and quality signet for sustainably sourced, mulesing-free wool from farmers who commit to stress-free shearing. According to Chargeurs, every contributor to the value chain certified by Nativa complies with the protocol in terms of CSR, animal welfare, land management and industrial standards. A third-party firm audits its compliance with these principles every year.
