The jury of experts appointed by the French trade association Outdoor Sports Valley (OSV) announced the four winners of the French Outdoor Awards (FOA) 2022 on Jan. 15 in Chamonix. While the competition is open to everyone, from startups to multinationals, it has one golden rule: brands can only enter an innovative product or service designed and developed in France and on the market for less than one year.
The Startup Award went to the Sherpa, a short by Wise with a directly integrated water bottle. The Digital Award went to the API-K’s K-IP beacon, an innovative tracking device for outdoor athletes. The Sustainability Award went to Lugik by Décathlon and its Trilugik, an eco-designed sled, evolving and adapted to the morphology of the baby to the adult. Last but not least, Gignoux scored the Innovation Award with its Mountain 2022 boot, entirely made in the French Alps and designed for ski tourers ”not willing to make any compromises on the way up or down.”
