Rover Textiles will introduce 8848 Altitude, the Swedish ski apparel brand, in the Dutch market next year. Established twelve years ago by Robert Verhoef, a long-time executive in the Dutch sports and apparel business, Rover Textiles already sells Didriksons, the Swedish outdoor brand, in the Netherlands as well as Belgium. It has built up a network of about 100 points of sale for Didriksons in the Benelux outdoor business and 8848 Altitude should neatly complement its offering at the medium price level of the Dutch ski market. 8848 Altitude was launched in 1990 to provide outfits for the first successful Swedish ascent of Mount Everest. It already has distribution in most Scandinavian and Alpine countries, with the notable exception of France.
