Salewa, the Italian outdoor brand, is expanding in Asia. The Bolzano-based company has inked a deal with the Japanese importer Caravan Company of Tokyo. Caravan was founded in 1954 and currently distributes the climbing shoes of Five.Ten and the poles of Leki in Japan. The distribution of Salewa in Nippon will be operated by Seiya Tsurumaki, Caravan’s managing director, and Naoji Kaiho, trade manager in charge of Salewa.
