Since announcing its new strategy with a focus on softgoods (read more in the last issue of this publication), Amer Sports has appointed Andy Towne president of apparel and member of the group’s executive board. Most recently, the 44-year-old served as chief executive of Musto, the apparel brand for sailing and horseback riding. Before that job, Towne had held various positions as vice president with Helly Hansen and Reebok. Before Towne’s arrival, the apparel was supervised by Jean-Marc Pambet who continues as president of footwear and of Salomon.
