Teva has a new initiative out, Pair for a Foot, in which it will contribute to protecting one linear foot of global waterways for each pair of Teva shoes or sandals sold in 2011. It is working with nonprofit groups dedicated to clean water, including the Ocean Conservancy and Waterkeeper Alliance. Teva worked with Waterkeeper last year in helping to protect communities along the Gulf of Mexico after the BP oil spill. Teva says that Pair for a Foot could help preserve 4.3 million feet of waterways this year.
