The 17 member companies of the Italian Outdoor Group are staging the first Italian trade-only outdoor show in Trento next Sept. 20-22, inviting their Italian retail customers to attend. The initiative, which is likened to the Sport-Achât show in France, follows the failure by the group to organize a bus trip for these clients to the OutDoor fair in Friedrichshafen. Assosport, the Italian sporting goods industry association, tried to organize charter flights from the airports of Treviso and Verona, but it did not reach the required minimum of 10 passengers on either route.
