The Dutch agent Bryan Schroder has put an end to his agreements with Arc’teryx and Silkbody. The rights for Arc’teryx in the Benelux are still in the hands of Outsider, a company headed by Willem Gussenhoven. Since the latter is based in Denmark, he had teamed up with Schroder to deal with Arc’teryx sales in Dutch and Belgian outdoor and sports stores, but he is about to appoint a replacement. Meanwhile, since the start of this year, Gussenhoven also obtained another deal as a coordinator for Arc’teryx sales to military units in all of Europe and he is about to start in the same position for Nemo, an American brand of tents and mattresses, from the beginning of the next year – albeit with a few European countries excluded. Ben Toller, an independent agent for Keen in the Netherlands, has taken over sales of Silkbody in the Netherlands, reporting to Arti Sport, the Belgian distributor that has rights for Silkobdy in both the Netherlands and Belgium. While looking for other brands, Schroder will still handle Five Ten, operating as a sub-agent for Ortwin Dellevoet, a long-time distributor and executive in the European outdoor industry, who worked previously for the Deckers Outdoor and Crocs groups and now holds rights for Five Ten in the Netherlands only.
