The organizers of two outdoor events held simultaneously on Nov. 12-14 in two different parts of Spain have both cried victory. The show in Madrid, called Naturiva-Esquí y Montaña, attracted 171 exhibitors and 23,700 visitors. A nationwide indoor climbing contest and a snowboarding contest, sponsored by K2, were among the highlights. The Mercat de Muntanya Activa held in the region of Vic, near Barcelona, announced the figure of 15,000 visitors, including 3,200 persons who participated in various climbing, skiing and kayaking activities. A turnover of €40,000 was reached with the exchange of second-hand ski and outdoor gear.
