The Standards and Regulations Committee within the Sustainability Working Group of the European Outdoor Group is now ready to compile a type of open database that provides a one-stop point of reference for the outdoor industry, notably for the brands themselves, not necessarily for consumers, to understand what is mandatory and what is voluntary within the industry. The idea behind that database is the exchange of information within the industry on product-related legislation, standards, labels and frameworks on chemical product safety and environment. On top of this, the database will support well-working industry-wide coordinated implementation.
