Sportler, the big Italian outdoor and sporting goods retailer, is making investments to become stronger in internet retailing. The chain just acquired Bergzeit (“time for the mountains”), a German online retailer with its banner bergzeit.de plus two brick-and-mortar stores in southern Germany.
